The ski resorts

Zell am See

The mountain city Zell am See is one of the most traditional vacation resorts in Austria with international flair, Casino and highlife. The Schmittenhöhe (2,000 m), the local mountain of Zell am See with almost 100 years of skiing tradition, offers an ideal skiing area for families and sun lovers with a spectacular mountain panorama between glaciers and the Zeller See. It is not without reason that it has the reputation of being "Austria's most beautiful panoramic mountain", from which you can admire 30 three-thousand-meter peaks of the Hohe Tauern, including the highest mountain of Austria, the Grossglockner (3,950 m), in summer as well as in winter. The Schmittenhöhe offers absolute snow security on 77 fully snowed kilometers of slopes, made accessible by 28 cable cars and lifts. Many winter sports opportunities for non-skiers round off the winter vacation in Zell am See. The Glacier ski area Kitzsteinhorn and the high Ski area Weißsee Gletscherwelt are located in the near distance.

Saalbach-Hinterglemm - Leogang - Fieberbrunn

The ski area of the World Cup resort Saalbach has been considered for many years as one of the most interesting and largest in the entire Alpine region: here even the most demanding skiers can enjoy a winter dream! The recent merger with Fieberbrunn to form the "Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn" now offers 270 km of slopes and 70 lifts and 60 ski huts, 90 % of the slopes are covered with snow. Highlight for skiers: the all-day round trip through the Skicircus, one of the longest of its kind in the entire Alpine region, with 72 kilometers of slopes and 12,500 meters of altitude! But the Skicircus is also known for its hearty Ski huts for all demands "from rustic to gourmet".
